Sponne PFA

Welcome to the PFA section of the website. Sponne School PFA exist to raise funds for the school to purchase items for the direct benefit of students. The Committee is made up of a mix of parents and school staff which helps to ensure good communication between fund raising activities and funding requests. The School Council are also involved in helping decide what the students need in terms of projects and equipment. The School Shop is administered by the school mangement team and any profits from the shop are also used for student benefit.

In the recent past funds raised by the PFA have purchased the following:-

School minibus, lighting for school drama/music productions, equipment for the drama studio, atlases for home use and a new electronic piano. We are currently reviewing options for providing some more outdoor seating and covered areas for students to use at lunchtime.

The majority of our funds at present comes from raffles, profit from refreshment provision at events, match funding by local employers and the Treasure Trove scheme. Please help the school by supporting PFA fund raising events - if every family purchased just one book of raffle tickets we would raise over £2000 alone! Our average fund raising for the last 2 years has been approximately £2,500 per year. This year to date, thanks to match funding from Santander we have raised just over £4,000.

If you would like to join the PFA Volunteer list, if your company or employer offer match funding or if you are interested in joining the Committee please contact Lisa Gordon in the School Office. Email:- lgordon@sponneschool.northants.sch.uk
